Girly, as in frilly colorful clothes, juicy couture purse, shimmery pink lip gloss, blonde curly hair, high heels...kind of like Ashley Tisdale in High school Musical.
Edgy, as in motorcycle boots/biker jacket, rides a motorcycle, red lipstick, blonde...kind of like Taylor Momsen.
I'm not sure I would equate "blonde" with "edgy" but I think I see your point. And yes, I prefer the more "edgy" type.
Purse party Ideas
Many purse party consultants already know that selling purses at parties can be a lucrative business that allows you the freedom to do things you love and set your own schedule while earning your income. Here are some tips for purse party consultants to step it up a notch and let your creativity flow, bringing your party out of the mundane and helping you stand out from the crowd.
- Create a theme for the party. You don't need to do this of course to be successful, but it will help you get a reputation and bring women in to your parties. It adds a good deal of fun to the mix and makes it a real party. Put on some Mexican music and serve chips and salsa, and you've already got a theme going.
- Have nice incentives. Offer a small gift to everyone in attendance. Put your logo on, of course. Pens and pads are boring but work, and you can opt for something special that hits your target, such as lotions or other beauty products. You can get these at wholesale prices from your handbag supplier and display them as other goods that your customers can purchase.
- Keep up the relationship. Ask for email addresses and send thank you notes after the party. Ask customers to sign up for news about new designer inspired handbag arrivals and great deals, and let them know. Don't bombard them, but send out consistent emails – perhaps every two weeks or so.
- Make sure you have a web site! Even if you work the purse party circuit, a web site is a great way to convert one time customers into repeats. Even if you don't want to go there and you choose to keep the party as your steady business model, have an informational web site with your contact information, testimonials, samples products, and your party process.
- Hand out business cards at the party. You want to be remembered. Have all of your contant information on the card, and make it unique – don't just use words. Make use of color, logo, and maybe even some humor.
- Have a signature gift or refreshment. Everyone should know they will get this one, special thing when you do purse parties – whether a gift as mentioned above, or your grandma's apply cake that you always bring, etc. it makes you memorable.
